Individual Therapy

Let’s make your life easier.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by something stressful? Struggling to stay focused at work? Got stuff on your mind that’s making it tough to sleep? Or maybe you’re feeling dissatisfied with the way your relationship is going, things happening at work, the state of the world, etc. Perhaps you’d like to get to know yourself better, figure out patterns that have been holding you back, or figure out how to reach your personal or professional goals.

These are just some of the issues that bring people to individual therapy in San Francisco.

A practical, evidence-based approach.

My goal is to help you get more of what you’re looking for. It may be calm. Or reassurance. Or healthier patterns of thinking. Or connection.

In our busy lives, it’s so easy to lose sight of what naturally happens within us. When you wake up, when you’re on your way to work, when you’re sitting in a meeting… you’re feeling a certain way. Our emotions get a bad rap, but they’re actually healthy.

Why? They guide us. By getting in touch with what’s already happening for you, communication with others becomes easier. Connection with the people in your life becomes more meaningful. Decisions become clearer. This brings you strength. This helps lead you towards whatever you’re looking for.

In working with you as an individual, instead of adhering to any one theory or school of thought, I aim to blend the best of “what works,” with an emphasis on evidence-based practices. Without getting into unnecessary jargon, here’s a quick sampling: My approach is informed by CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy, which you’ve probably heard of), mindfulness-based practices, attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR.

I’m eager to get to know you as a person… where you’ve been, what drives you, and where you’d like to go.
